The ORIGINAL Wunder *****. Greatest Commercial Ever? Aired several years ago late night on OLN. Yes, It’s 100% REAL! You laugh now…juuuuuust watch! There has been a lot of speculation that the product voiceover (NOT the voiceover at the end telling you the number, just the one describing the product) is Mike Rowe, of Dirty Jobs fame. It really, really sounds like him, but I don’t have any confirmation one way or the other. One user has commented that he met Mike Rowe and asked him about this, and Mike said it is indeed him and that he even named the product. Another user said that his former boss is the inventor and that Mike Rowe has nothing to do with this. The mystery continues. I don’t remember what show I was watching that fateful late at night on OLN, but I do remember the first time I saw The Wunder *****. It started out like any other late-night mini-infomercial, but my brow soon furrowed into a confused expression when they revealed the name of their product. And by the time the rotund fisherman muses that his wife would “like that”, I was stunned. But who would believe me? Since this was before tivo, before youtube, hell, before I had a DVD player, and since I knew this was indeed the Greatest Commercial Of All Time, I grabbed a blank tape and threw it in the VCR.
