Are you calling every 18 year-old kid who was in college then a “coward?” That’s exactly the implication of your cowardly slur. Those who did go off to war, were honorable and are American heroes. But those who didn’t, and there were FAR MORE OF THAT AGE GROUP WHO DIDN’T, are not “draft-dodgers” or cowards. Going to college was, and is, a respectable thing for any 18 year old. But Lyndon Johnson would’ve been very happy with you wanting even more sacrificial lambs for his personal little war.

this is they typical response I expected and that is since everyone copped out to pulling their weight its okay. The question is why did college students and the rich were not subject to the draft like the rest of us great unwashed. Most Americans are more interested in watching the Stars dancing then taking care of those paralized by their duty for their country.

“The response I expected”? Phony baloney. Anyway, don’t debase Terry because he, like the MAJORITY of his generation, didn’t have to go. Now you’re tying him to the care of “paralized”(sic) vets! Robert McNamara has testified that he and Johnson KNEW that war was hopeless, yet they kept sending American boys over there to die. I’m very glad Terry didn’t go. It’s only too bad more couldn’t have been saved. But you don’t really care about that –you’re only about petty jealousy and class warfare.
