its still going….i was there today

Of course, traditionally Punch wasn’t only for children, and if well performed still appeals to different members of teh family for different reasons (subtle jokes etc.). Surely the main reason the Hangman appears less often these days is because this form of execution is no longer in use and has therefore fallen out of favour?

Reading Neil Gaiman’s “Mr. Punch” (again)… I live in Korea and even in my hometown in Canada, I wouldn’t see any performance of Punch and Judy let alone a good one like this. Thanks for paying jeroid and thanks for posting the video.

I live in the U.S. and we don’t have the previledge of seeing shows,so this is as close to it as we can do. Great to be able to go sea-side and see it for real!

I’ve had this with someone else who got in a snit for something he didn’t understand. I paid to watch the performance ok? I’m not that tight. This isn’t going to stop anybody watching it, is it? It’s an open-air show in front of people who are bound to have cameras, and a bit of extra exposure is a good thing. I honestly cannot comprehend this kind of petty small-mindedness. Not everyone who watch it paid. I DID so belt up.

  • punchjudyjoe says:

The future of punch and judy doesnt look bright with people not paying, you would know about that for not paying for the show. Mark says that you refused to stop videoing where there are signs saying that you shouldnt video and also mark isnt paid to be on the beach, its people like you who dont pay, then future generations will think its ok not to pay and video things when your are told not do do something. Think before posting videos again matey!
