@skata123456789456123: Ok, it is comedy… but it’s extremelly sweet, also. That’s why I’d never laught.
I think you´re not able to appreciate “this stuff”, sorry.
@skata123456789456123 this is totally supposed to be comic relief during this opera! papageno is the comic in the opera! i’m glad that you caught that it was humor! i bet you’d like more if this “stuff” as you look into it!
lol, i dont listen to this kind of stuff, so i dont anything, someone posted this on his facebook wall, so i watched it… in the beggining, the “pa-pa-pa-pa”thing had me laughed my *** off…. i thought it was some kind of comedy, but it was not finally…lol hahahhaha

I totally agree. I watched this opera in Rio de Janeiro, in 1994, sung in Portuguese. Since everybody was able to understand the whole piece, the interaction between the music and the audience was perfect. This final meeting was a magic moment which I could never forget. Many people around me were crying at the end of the aria. If we think that this was also one of the last things Mozart put on paper, it gets even more powerful.
I disagree. I think only a genius like Mozart could take such a confusing plot, or the most ridiculous names in the history of opera, and make something as unforgettable as Die Zauberflote out of it. No other composer would have been able to handle this libretto.
The final meeting of Papageno and Papagena is the best moment of the opera and one of the most beautiful moments in the history of art, not only because of the music itself but also because of the joy it brings to the audience. It’s an ubnforgetable experience to watch this masterpiece on stage. It’s magic. Thanks, Mozart
this is mozart! This is the best
